Mar. 23rd, 2023 10:38 pmIt's not that Tim isn't willing to burn any of her aliases if it came down to it, but she doesn't want to, not when she's put time and effort into getting Caroline Malone no relation into just the right criminal circles. She refuses to let that all go to waste just because one idiot can't keep his need to proposition pretty ladies to himself.
So. She needs a husband. Someone who is maybe not as involved in the business as Caroline, but who's uninterested in sharing his wife and whom Caroline can't afford to piss off. Bart is... admittedly, not the best at playing criminal, but he'll probably be able to pull off the rest, and he'll have her back if it goes south. Not to mention he can be there at a moment's notice.
They need rings to help sell the image, because while Caroline might discreetly not wear hers while conducting business, Handsy McFuckFace (not his actual name) needs proof that the marriage is real and this potential player in her business can be reasonably trusted to keep out of it. So Alicia Draper is going ring-shopping with her boyfriend, seeing as how if Timothea Drake-Wayne tried that, it would be all over social media within minutes. They're looking for tasteful but expensive, something that will be engraved to further sell the image that this is a marriage and not thrown together to solve an emergency.
