She's on her own for this particular field trip, but that's perfectly fine by her. Tim works under Selina's shadow most of the time; as much as she respects Catwoman, it's nice to get out and work on her own every now and then. Especially when Keystone City decides to host an exhibition highlighting a somewhat eccentric jeweler who's come into vogue recently that primarily designs around cat's eye gems. It's like they're daring her to swoop in and snag a little something for herself.

So. She does. And the actual heist itself goes off beautifully. It's the getaway that's proving to be a problem, because there weren't supposed to be any Flashes active in the city tonight, but clearly that was faulty information because here she is, and here's a Flash.

"I don't suppose you'd be willing to just pretend you didn't see me and go along your merry way?"

"Only if I get to keep these," Bart said, holding up the bag she'd used to stash the gems. It was really annoying, he goes to try to have a nice family dinner and a silent alarm goes off in a high-end jewelry store. Kid Flash was going to be on the books because Wally and Barry were too busy keeping Impulse from getting involved.

"Who are you supposed to be, anyway?"

She narrows her eyes at him behind her mask. Re-thieving, that's just rude. "You have much more interesting options than taking something that's already stolen if you're looking to get into thievery."

"But it kinda ruins the whole hero angle. I never keep what I snag," Bart said, watching her, carefully. "Seriously, do I just start pulling names out of a hat? Because most of the good ones are taken. Like Wildcat, for instance. Killer left hook, that guy."

"Where's the fun in that? Unless it's just to prove you can."

She stretches a little, casual like this is just some normal conversation though she's keeping an eye on him.

"To prove people like you can't, actually. And it's fun enough for me," Bart said, giving the bag a small toss, raising an eyebrow behind his mask.

"You still haven't given me a name. I have to tell the police something when they put you in lockup."

Her lips curl upwards slowly. "I doubt we'll be getting that far, but tell you what: if we do, you can make up something to tell them."

"You're in my city, kitty-cat," Bart said, smirking. "We always play by my rules. Well, Flash rules."

"Oh?" she asks, radiating innocence. "And what rules are those?"

"You'll just have to figure them out. After I return these," Bart said, blurring out of sight for an eyeblink.

Well. Those are officially a write-off. it's irritating that she went to all that trouble for - well, not nothing, because she supposes she has the experience to show for it.

Well, that and one more small piece she'd tucked away on her person for herself. Hopefully, he doesn't notice there's still something missing. Either way, she barely manages a step while he's gone. Ugh, she could really get to dislike speedsters.

"Is there anything else you took?" Bart asked, standing in front of her, just out of reach. "Before they do the inventory and get upset with me."

She gives him a cheery little smirk. "That would be your problem, wouldn't it?"
